A TV commercial featuring a monkey prompts Ross to go visit Marcel at the San Diego Zoo whilst on a trip to California, only to discover that the monkey is indeed pursuing a show-biz career and working in commercials. Joey receives his first fan letter and ends up dating the very attractive woman who sent it. She turns out to be a mentally unstable stalker who thinks that the happenings on Days of Our Lives are real. Phoebe is asked by a man to sing for the children at a library, but the kids parents are horrified by her morbid lyrics. However, the kids like the songs and come to Central Perk eager to listen to what they call her 'truth-songs'.
