Just because they are identical does not mean these twins even like each other. Two estranged twin sisters get together for an obligatory pre-Christmas brunch, a year
after their mother's death. Both women are unhappy and frustrated with their own lives. Kate Lockhart is a busy real-esate executive in the city who finds herself forced
in to organizing the work's Christmas party. Kate's identical twin sister, Chris, is a divorced, single mom who teaches art at small-town Littleton High School and is in
charge of Littleton's annual Winter Wonderland Carnival. It has been a long time since they have seen each other but find themselves being lured to a brunch with their
father, except their father leaves the two of them to talk. Though not close anymore, each is envious of the other's life. It is whilst they talk that they both reckon the
other one has the better life which leads to them deciding to switch places to see how each other's lives really are. What's a twin to do but take advantage of this? And
who would be the wiser? They swap lives until Christmas Day, with one proviso they can't fall in love with anyone whilst having switched places. Though trouble comes
knocking when both Kate and Chris find themselves dealing with some Christmas romance despite having promised not to. Through this switch, each woman discovers
the true meaning of her life and gains a deeper perspective and appreciation for what she already had.
